To me, “Austin” represents the new modernism. Modernism is an attitude. It’s an attitude of being connected to a past that one is proud of while bringing in the fresh and new of the present day. I see Modern as sophisticated change – invention of new perspectives based on the best ideas of the past – positive evolution. I love living in Austin because Austin embraces this attitude and is a city of forward thinkers, designers, and innovators. Yet, in my 10+ years as a Real Estate Professional and Business Owner, I have seen this modernism lag behind in our architecture. This is finally beginning to shift, and I’m proud to be a part of the forward movement. In the modern world, each home has its own progressive personality and style. In the modern world we care about sustainability and design it as part of the lifestyle beyond just the bricks and mortar. Achievable even without having to spend the million in order to produce hip individuality.
